Dear Faithful One,
Have you ever been dissatisfied with your family or your team accusing them of limiting you? Did you know that when God gives you an assignment, He does not view your relationships as limitations? Perhaps it’s time to look at your situation in a different way.
When David was King, he began to build his army. 1 Samuel 22:2 tells us, “All those who were in distress or in debt or discontented gathered around him, and he became their leader. About four hundred men were with him.” NIV. Perhaps you are tired of having people around you who are distracted by their own personal distress or financially stressed because of choices they have made or discontented with life in general. It’s hard isn’t it to lead a group of complaining people who think life should be different than what it is and don’t see the blessing right in front of them? This was the group David was given. They never once saw David as a blessing or had any imagination that God had intersected their paths. They were in their miracle while still complaining. Now fast forward the years and we see what God did out of the four hundred. 1 Chronicles 11:10 tells us “These were the chiefs of David’s mighty men -they, together with all Israel, gave his kingship strong support to extend it over the whole land, as the LORD had promised.”
Oh Faithful One, David’s confidence was not in the team but in the God who called him to lead the team. Is it time for you to build with who you have and trust God to turn your current relationships into an even greater testimony for Him? Instead of waiting for the right team, why not begin by being the right leader?
I pray this devotion encouraged you in a special way. When I pray for you, I hear a victory song. I believe in you because I believe in the power of God’s Word in you as you put His Word into action.
Love, Anita
