I’m on my way to a viewing of one friend when I found out today that another friend passed unexpectedly. Do you ever feel like you’re losing friends at a faster rate these days than before? When you look beside you and see your safe friend missing, do you start losing boldness as you stare at the mountain ahead of you?
God, in His mercy, met me where I was to remind me He gave us His spirit as a friend to walk with us and to remain with us forever. We have a forever friend living inside us with the staying power to finish what God began in us. When was the last time you conversed with your forever friend and invited him to fill the emptiness in your heart?

What a friend we have in Jesus…your words, Anita, reminded me of a beloved hymn. Now when I sing this song, I’ll think of my “forever friend.”
Beautiful. Losing an earthly friend is difficult but as we age- we see more and more loved ones leave the earth to go to their forever home. I praise God that Jesus is w us here and will be through all eternity.
