Are you aggressive in stating your point? Do you use ultimatums? Do you cancel someone from your life who disagrees with your point of view? In building a society that values each other, Dr. Martin Luther King was not aggressive. He said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” His words echo 1 Corinthians 13:8 where God reminds us that “Love never fails.” What plan do we depend on to fight your battles? Instead of using force, how can love solve the problem?
