I was sharing with another adult the many sad and tragic stories I heard about. I sounded like the local news reporting on current disasters. A four year old was listening to my conversation. She interrupted me to say, “Why are you only talking about bad things?” Through a babe, God reminded me of Philippians 4:8: “Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is any praise—dwell on these things.”
