The Prayers that God Answers

Join Anita Carman, Founder and President of Inspire Women as she discusses how she learned to release her mother’s story to find her own. Has there been an event from your past that has kept you stuck in the present, weary of the future? Is it time to make sense of your suffering to spring you into your destiny?

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

1. What need have you asked God for in prayer? Have you given God the problem or are you micromanaging God?

2. Jesus prayed to the Father “Not my will but yours be done.” How have you followed Jesus in your prayers?

3. God wants to conform us to the image of Jesus. The longer you walk with God, the more faith He will ask from you in the same way God allowed Jesus to walk into Calvary. How have your challenges felt like a Calvary? What hope does it give you to know life doesn’t end at Calvary but in the resurrection?

4. Have you given God your best or your leftovers? What changes can you make to give God priority and show the world He is worthy of your life?

  • Thank you very much for the bible study lesson today. I have been praying on a situation and waiting on God’s timing. I have been praying but not consistently. I had a reflection last week in which a friend really needed my help and realized I had not been serving others as much as I used to because of the pandemic. But I now know and realize no matter what is happening in this life is that we should always put God first and also serve others. God blesses us to be a blessing to others and I will no longer micro-manage the problem and trust God to work out what He wants to happen through me.
