I was watching my pup devour his meal. I asked the breeder, “Why does he eat like he’s starving?” She replied, “He was raised with seven siblings and had to fight for his share of the food.” Her response caused me to reflect on how I respond to resources that I need for the work God has called me to do. Do I have a scarcity mentality or do I trust that God has provided for His callings in our lives?

When we trust our heavenly Father the master planner, we can relax and know that He has not miscalculated on what we need to finish the work He sent us to do. So the next time you feel the panic or the urgency to grab what you need, press the pause button. Breathe in, breathe out, and remind yourself that God’s got this. He’s not counting on us to save the world. Jesus already did that. We get to play a part in a world He has already saved.

When I pray for you, I “hear” a victory song. I believe in you because I believe in the power of God’s truths in you as you put His truths into action.
